Is Invoance invoicing software?

No. The name is close to invoice and the two are easy to mix up. Invoance does not create, send or collect invoices. It can prove that one has not been changed: anchor the file when it is approved, and any later copy either matches or it does not.

How it worksFull walkthrough

What does Invoance do?

Your system sends a record to the Invoance API. Invoance hashes it, signs it with your organization's Ed25519 key and writes it to a ledger where the database refuses deletes. Anyone you share it with can check that it still matches what was signed.

What a proof showsSecurity

It shows

  • A specific record existed in a specific form.
  • It was signed by a specific organization at a specific time.
  • What you are looking at still matches what was signed.
  • A sealed trace has had nothing added, removed or reordered.

It does not show

  • That the underlying statement is true.
  • That a decision was fair, legal or correct.
  • That a document's contents are authentic.
  • That you meet a legal or regulatory obligation.
QuestionsDeveloper FAQ
Is Invoance an invoicing app?
No. Invoance does not create, send or collect invoices. It is an API for signed records that anyone can verify. Finance teams use it to prove an invoice or payment instruction has not changed since it was approved.
Is Invoance a blockchain?
No. Records are hashed with SHA-256, signed with Ed25519 and stored in an append-only ledger. Checking one needs no wallet, token or chain, only the record and the issuing organization's public key.
Do I need an account to verify an Invoance record?
No. A verification link opens for anyone. A signature can also be checked offline with any Ed25519 library against the organization's published public key.
Does Invoance see the documents I anchor?
Not in hash-only mode. The file is hashed on your side and only the hash is sent, so the file never leaves your systems.
How much does Invoance cost?
The Developer plan is free and covers all five products within monthly limits. Paid plans start at $149 a month.
Which languages have an Invoance SDK?
Node.js, Python, Go, Java, Ruby, Rust, .NET, PHP. Any other language can call the REST API directly.
Who makes Invoance?
Invoance, Inc., a Delaware corporation, founded by Adeola Okunola.
